We'd rather you knew this upfront than found out three calls in. Here's who we work with, why, and what to do if your role sits outside it.
Resource Bridge takes on retained search mandates for CEO and CFO roles, and the roles that sit right beside them, with a minimum total annual CTC of ₹1.5 crore. For roles based outside India, the minimum is US$250,000 a year.
Every search we run gets the same depth. We map the whole market for the role, approach leaders who aren't looking, assess each one in depth over multiple sessions, check references, and stay involved after the new leader joins. That depth is what our clients rely on, and it matters most where the stakes are highest.
At this level, the wrong hire costs a business far more than any search fee, and the right one can change its direction. It's also where our network is strongest: most of the leaders we speak to each year hold these roles, or are ready to step into them.
That depth takes real time and effort, so every mandate needs a minimum level of billing. Given our fee structure, a role that pays less than ₹1.5 crore, or US$250,000, a year usually won't justify it.
Because we focus on these two roles, we're often called in for niche roles that sit where they meet. For instance, when a client wanted to create a Group-level COO role to drive value, and wanted a veteran CFO to fill it, we were their first choice.
We're not tied to any sector. So far we've worked across chemicals, pharma and life sciences, animal health, automotive, auto components, industrials, semiconductors, medical devices, telecom, online and offline retail, IT, banking and financial services, management consulting, and NGOs and foundations. We especially enjoy something new, whether that's a new sector, a new geography or a new role.
Across India: Mumbai, Ahmedabad and Pune in the West; Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Coimbatore in the South; Kolkata in the East; and NCR in the North. Outside India, we've filled roles based in Oman, Dubai, Africa, Shanghai, Singapore, Jakarta and beyond.
If your business doesn't fit neatly into any of these, don't worry. What matters is the role, its context and your ambitions, not your industry, ownership or location.
A search is usually initiated by the promoter or family business owner, Independent Directors on the Board, or the professional CEO of a large company. We bring the CHRO in early to keep execution smooth.
We're a retained search firm. We charge an initial, non-refundable retainer at the start of the engagement and bill the balance when the candidate joins.
We'd honestly not be the best use of your budget. For these roles, a good generalist or contingency recruiter should suffice. That isn't a judgement on the role. It's simply not what our process is built for.
Sometimes existing clients ask us to help with a few junior roles as well, and are happy to pay our minimum billing for them. Once we've completed at least 2–3 roles together, we're glad to take on the occasional junior role when the situation clearly calls for it. What we won't do is start a new relationship with a junior role, however critical. It isn't a win-win, so we avoid it.
If you're not sure where your role sits, drop us a line and we'll give you an honest view.
This is where our specialisation helps. We've built proprietary CEO and CFO compensation calculators that estimate what the market pays for a role like yours, at a company like yours. It's a quick way to see where a role sits before you start a search. Talk to us about an estimate for your role.
Clients usually point to three things: we treat leadership hiring as a business issue rather than an HR issue, we bring deep research and a real connection with candidates, and the Partner running the mandate invests their own time in it.
Once a client has worked with us, we often become their only choice for every CEO, business head, CFO and finance leadership role, even ahead of the large global search firms they use for the roles we don't take on.
If you're a CEO, CFO or senior leader in this range, we'd like to know you, even if you're not looking right now. Write to enquiry@resource-bridge.com with your profile. Every conversation is confidential.

The estimated first-year compensation for the role: fixed pay, variable pay and any other cash components payable in the first year.
Yes. It's the same for CEO and CFO roles and for the roles right beside them, such as MDs, Deputy MDs, BU heads, Group CFOs and a Head of M&A.
Because doing the same two searches again and again makes us better at them. We already know who the strong leaders in your sector are, how they think about a move, and what a fair offer looks like. Generalist firms spread that effort across many roles and levels, which usually means shallower candidate pools for any one role. Specialising gives us deeper networks, sharper assessment and faster access to leaders who aren't actively looking.
