Mandate Outline

Client is a leading player in the large steel castings segment and has a global presence, through its acquisition in North America. The company has a well established, global presence in key accounts in the construction equipment, transportation and industrial segments, with a strong, distributed sales and marketing team in India and North America. The current professional CEO is being elevated and given a larger role within the Conglomerate to which the entity belongs, and the Dy MD is being hired as a succession plan, to take over the professional CEO in 12-18 months.

The Dy MD is expected to shadow the professional CEO and take a larger role in leading sales and marketing, in strengthening the existing relationships and open new accounts, including in new segments which are showing significant traction. Over the next 12-18 months, the Dy MD will gradually take over other functions and take over as MD. The client was looking for a solid P&L owner from reputed firms, with experience of driving growth by creating entry, whether creating new customers, new products or entering new geographies.
