Client is a leader and aggregator in the B2B segment targeting rural India, and offers a marketplace for a wide variety of products/services and brands, to reach deep and wide into the hinterland. An unicorn, the firm had witnessed rapid growth and wanted to bring on board a very strong FP&A who was a step away from being the CFO, in terms of sharpness, leadership maturity and skill levels. The FP&A lead was required to drive key decisions in the business and be a strong, independent foil to the founders and professional CEOs leading the different categories.
The client desired the FP&A person to come from dynamic FMCG firms or e-com firms but with a strong leadership ability to manage the combined complexity of products and services, in a high-growth environment.
