Client is a listed, large Chemicals major, with a globally dominating presence in a few key chemicals and expanding presence in other chemicals across applications. The firm is highly profitable and has a strong balance sheet, and has recently made significant investments in expanding capacities significantly in its core products as well as to support portfolio expansion.

The Group CFO was expected to work with the promoter CMD to drive operational efficiencies including deploying the newly created capacities and cost efficiencies as the new, large capacities come online, as well as help take calibrated bets on new expansions. The firm’s Independent Directors are active and working with them as well as external stake-holders such as analysts and investor community, is a key part of the remit for the Group CFO.
