Client is a leading auto-component player and the only Indian player in a key component dominated by global majors, as a result of key investments in in-house technology. The firm has firmly established its presence across the OEM segments including CV, PV, 2W, 3W and Off-road Vehicles space. In addition, it has also made strategic investments in EV space and continues to make deploy its cash reserves in the EV space. The firm is highly profitable and has a strong cash position, with zero debt.

The Group CFO was expected to work with the promoter family to drive strategic decisions around deploying the war chest, and ensure a compliant, robust day-to-day financial operations, including building the team below. As the management oversight passes from the older generation to the younger generation within the promoter family, the Group CFO was expected to play an enabling role in this transition too. Another key remit was to help the firm realize the right valuation by re-energizing the engagement with the investor community.
