Client is a leading foodtech major and one of the successful start-ups to have been able to deliver a fork-to-farm from an idea to a living, profitable model and generating investments from marquee PE investors. Along the way, the firm had ventured into several adjacencies, taking the firm into several areas and the firm was planning to coalesce the operations around three business units. The firm had recently raised >$100M in late series funding and wanted to develop an in-house team that will be able to accelerate fund-raising.

The client desired the Head of FR & IR to come from e-com firms, especially the unicorns, with the experience of having engaged with marquee investors for larger and later funding series. The client has a complex business and hence the ability to continuously engage with leading investors was a key ingredient. Someone who has been there and done that was essential for the role.
