CEO – A leading, listed Facilities Management Services firm
Client is a leading facilities management services company and a part of a larger, well-known conglomerate with a global presence in healthcare. The ask was to hire a CEO for this firm.
The client had grown on the back of serving the parent company, as it grew from one orbit to the next, and expanded globally. Alongside, the client added new verticals (e.g., facilities management for industrial clients) as well as new business lines (e.g., government). All this while, the promoter was leading the business, supported by long-time colleagues who had grown within the system. Sensing the opportunity to grow much faster as other FMS firms have done in the recent past, the firm wanted to hire a senior FMS professional, who can completely own the P&L and grow the business aggressively (4x over the next 5 years), exploring both organic and inorganic options. The firm desired to hire ahead of the curve.
As part of this, we explored the FMS space, but also other spaces (e.g., HORECA channels) which have had phenomenal growth, facing similar industry dynamics (similarity in channels, pricing structure, contracting nature, etc.). One of the known names from the FMS space has joined as the MD & CEO recently.
