Mandate Outline

The client is a Global Top 10 Indian generics major, with a strong presence worldwide in formulations and API and a growing presence in NCEs.  The global supply chain includes 20 plants, for both API and formulations, across the world, and the products are shipped to over 50+ markets. To manage this immense complexity profitably, the client was looking for a Head – Costing, to work closely with the Head – Technical, who is responsible for global QCD parameters. The Head of costing was required to review and strengthen the costing system and ensure its implementation, along with review and continuous course correction, to deliver a consistently well-performing costing backbone.

The client was looking for a costing specialist, with a strong prior experience in pharma, having managed costing for global production networks. The need was to bring in a specialist who could be a thought leader who is also good at the execution of ideas
